I have used all of the top commercial brands and in 45 yrs this one is by far the best.
I live in Reno, it is as hash as anywhere, Hot dry summer, high winds in the valley that can sandblast a paint job, cold, snow, roads with snow melt and sand, 5000 ft elevation means stronger UV, so you get the picture.
trick is follow the directions, wash the trim and make sure to use a strong bristle brush very warm water along with soap and a grease cutter Or Dawn platinum when dry use a sponge and coat the trim fairly thick, after an hour wipe with lint free towel. let it dry for two days, wipe clean of dust and repeat first treatment. i wait 2 more days and give it a 3rd treatment making sure to dry it twice real well. my trim looks new, repels moister and I will treat it with a light coat at 5 months for it to last a year.
I have use it on a brand new titan that after 4 years the dealer ask how I kept the trim looking showroom new, use it on my 2008 BMW x5 I bought in 2013 and did my own full detail on. the Trim was bleached out bad this product and that method of treatment has my trim looking like new. best part is that bottle a bought in 2013 I am just replacing.

Warning! DO NOT use this product on running boards or any steps! My wife almost wiped out when she used the running board on my Escalade to step up to the seat. VERY SLIPPERY! She hadn??t known that I treated the faded plastic on the running board and her foot went right out from under her. I thought it would dry after applied. It looks good, but I will not use or buy this product again.

Does this work on headlights?

NO!!! I tried it on my and it really buggered them up. Made them cloudy and opaque. Had to do a restore of the headlights…but I did find a really great product for restoring…it’s called CERAKOTE Ceramic Headlight Restoration Kit and can be purchased on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/CERAKOTE-Ceramic-Headlight??

My bumpers are gray. Can I use this product to restore or is it only for black trim?
Answer: Yes

Does this protect against UV rays and will this fade the trim more long term?
Answer: I don’t know if it protects against UV rays but you would think so since this is like a silicone dressing. My trim on my 2004 Impala hasn’t seemed to fade any more than it had before I put this on. I have to apply this though every month to keep that dark black look.

Does it take out light scratches on exterior plastic trim?
Answer: If they are on the surface it should take them off but if they are deep scratches it won’t. It depends on how bad the scratches are but you can always try it out and see the results.

how long does this product last?
Answer: I live in Las Vegas. I put it on over a month ago and it still looks great.
