The black plastic was looking rather dry on my R8, so I got this. Applied it in the engine bay and under the front trunk lid, and it looks great now! Very easy to apply, and I think it’ll hold up really well. If you look at it maybe a day later, you can certainly see the spots you missed, for some additional touch up. After that, the plastics look brand new! The only potential complaint I have with the product is the bottle itself– a few times it ended up burping and the product splattered more than I had wanted– so be cautious about that.

It definitely brings back a darker color and sheen on black plastic. However, my complaint is what happens when it rains.

I applied it as a test the top rails on the bed of my 2014 silverado. They were a little faded and I wanted to see what it would do. I applied it following the instructions and the rails looked great. A couple days later it rained…and I noticed what appeared to be streaks running down the side of my truck under the rails. It appeared that stuff washed off the rails and down the side of my truck. It looked horrible. Fortunately it came off the side of my truck when I washed it again the next day, but I was disappointed.

This stuff may work well if you are detailing an engine bay, some place that water isn’t as much of a concern. I won’t put it on the exterior of my truck again though.

I’m looking for a product like this for INTERIOR vinyl, This product emphasizes EXTERIOR use,. Never mentioning interior. Anyone use it on interior?
Answer: I wouldn’t. It would almost be like putting tire dressing on your interior. It is cleaner than that, but just a bit heavy in terms of film/residue for interior in my view.

will this product work on Gray plastic?
Answer: Yes it will work on any color plastic. This is an acrylic compound that provides a clear sheen on anything dull. It will dull your paint if you get the product on it.

My Jeep has gray bumpers – what do you use for that? Thanks
Answer: We use this on our Jeep Wrangler. It keeps the fenders black, not that faded old grey. You have to do it regularly, like when you wash your car. So far this has been the best ??back to black?? product that I??ve found for that.
