As with most products, at least for me, there was a “learning curve”. The first time I used this on my tires, I was very underwhelmed and very close to returning the bottle. I looked at my tires, then the neighbors, and I didn’t see any difference. I called the company to see if they had any tips. I thought I was doing it right since I followed the instructions on the bottle. The rep actually said he would give my name and number to the owner, and I said to myself “Well, they’ll never call back”. BUT, in about an hour, I was talking to Brian, the owner ! I mean, how many companies do that ? Anyway, he made some good suggestions, so I tried it again this morning, and it looked much better. Although, I made a couple of changes. Instead of spraying it directly on the tire, I sprayed into a sponge, and then I wiped the tires with the wet sponge (much neater job). I let it sit for about 40 minutes (the bottle says 30 minutes minimum), and then I went over it with the Wash Wax All stuff and dried it. Now my tires look good… not show shiny, but of course that’s not what this product is intended to do. Also, this was the second application, so that might have helped. My tires are 1-1/2 years old with 30K miles on them. I will most likely buy this again.

Nothing wrong with it. Pleasant smelling, environmentqally friendly. But I did not find it would last any longer than any garden variety low-gloss tire protectant product that I can buy at a local car parts store. Pricey for 16oz.
I am not sure what “aircraft grade” actually means, but that designation raised my expectations and I figured there would be something noticeably different esp,. in terms of longevity of protection, and I just could not see anything along those lines. I applied it to several of my cars’ tires, a week later there was no visible trace of it left.

In all fairness, I did not wait a half an hour before wiping it off. Tried it w just spraying it on, and wiping it off 5 minutes later. Also tried spraying it on without wiping it off at all. It did not last in either case. In the 2nd case (just leaving it on) , I figure it should have lasted more than a week. Maybe I will give it another shot, following the directions exactly.

Customer Questions & Answers

how many tires does a container protect?
how often do you need to use it? (I live in southern California – so lots of sun).
Answer:

It takes about 1 ounce per tire so a 16 ounce bottle will do about 16 tires. If you use it as we recommend and you thoroughly clean the tire prior to applying the Rubber Care and then dry the tire after the Rubber Care has soaked in, it will last for months; especially if you don’t use any strong detergents to remove i??

Does it come with a foam applicator of some kind?
Answer: No, if you order the 16 ounce or 32 ounce bottles they come with the bottle and spray head. If you order the Gallon it just comes with the gallon.

will the overspray discolor white walls?
Answer: No

Can this roduct be used on “red line” tires?
Answer: The solution is a white, milky consistency and dries clear so I see no reason why it shouldn’t work on “Red Line” Tires – the red rubber should absorb the solution the same way as black rubber!!!

Whats the recommended way on applying this product besides just spraying the tire (spreading it evenly on a tire with a brush or sponge)?
Answer:

1. Clean and dry the rubber with a good quality cleaner like Tire Soap or Wash ALL Degreaser.

2. Spray on or apply Rubber Care with applicator.

3. Let soak 10 minutes or longer.
