I’m not very consistent on writing product reviews but felt compelled to leave a review for this paint sealant. I am very meticulous when it comes to auto care and appearance. I restore vintage motorcycles as a hobby and my dad restores historic cars so I am almost OCD when it comes to noticing small details. I purchased my first bottle of this sealant because of the reviews with a little bit of skepticism because I am so picky. I have many vehicles but my main driver is a dark silver BMW M5 and I noticed with many of the paint products that I had been using for years looked good but I could see very fine swirls in the paint on this color. I have NEVER seen this dramatic of a result in a wax or sealant…and I’ve tried just about all of the “next best” products. Simply put the results are astounding on ..and headlight lenses etc. The price seems a little on the high side until you use it and realize that it only takes a very thin layer to get dramatic results! It takes less effort and product than almost all of the products I have used. When using a foam pad to apply…apply it thin then use a microfiber towel to buff. The first time I used it ..I thought it took alot of effort to get all of the product off (looked smeary)…then I learned something. (tip) Temperature and humidity seem to affect the drying time after the application. Now as a rule…I apply the product to the entire car…then wait at least an hour if not overnight…then it literally takes only about 10 minutes or less to hand buff with zero dust. I purchased this for my dad after seeing the results and he has turned all of his car buddies into advocates and fans. One more thing I would like to add….they are not exaggerating when they say it lasts for months…it truly does. I have my cars washed about once a week and while after about a month the shine does start to fade a bit …it still looks better than most freshly waxed cars and it beads water like it was waxed yesterday. The second application of the sealant is even quicker. Out of curiosity I tried it on my windshield which I normally wouldn’t do…and it repels water very well when raining..I rarely need to actually turn the wipers on when moving. I can’t say enough about it…. It’s great stuff..give it a try!

Bought this combo 10 months ago. The paint sealant shines the car well enough, but it does NOT provide a good protection coating against the elements.
I live in So. Cal. where the weather is by NO means harsh.
It doesn’t stop nor reduce water spotting from overnight fog or even light rain.
I’ve used it according to directions specifically and have found NO difference what-so-ever versus in protection and/or paint shielding from sun and weather when compared to a good paste carnuba wax.
The detailer shines up the surface well, but it doesn’t last any longer than Mother’s or Maguire’s spray detailers.3
The sponge applicator is fine and the microfiber towel is ok.
The main drawback to the towel is that is spreads dust and creates a LOT of static electricity.
To me, after using both (detailer and sealant) for 10 months I just can’t justify the extra cost.

Customer Questions & Answers

can I use this for wood surface like piano and other musical instrument?
Answer: Darn good question & one if it works could b amazing. However i??m not sure how it might react to the painted/stained & sealed coating on the instrument(s). I addition, this leaves an extremely slick surface possibly making difficult to hold. Hope this was helpful.

How long did this last in your car before reapplying another wolf gang paint sealant? i live in southern california.
Answer: I live in texas. I put it on twice a year – before winter and before summer when the weather is good for laboring over my car. It still beads water by the 6 month mark whn i reapply, but not quite like it did when fresh. Every six months seems like a good split for me.

How is this product different from what new car dealers charge $1200-$3500 to apply?
Answer: Why would anyone pay a dealer $1500-$3500 to apply a polish/sealant to a car???

How are you judging when it is time to reapply this product? My car felt slick initially, but 3 mos later it doesn’t feel so slick. Always garaged.
Answer:

Longevity will only come from continuing to layer waxes and sealant boosters. I apply 2 coats of Chemical Guys Jet Seal in spring (12 hours for second coat to allow polymers to fully cross link), then maintain by alternating with waxes that also have sealant in them. This way the polymers in the wax can cross link to??

A Bottle of 16 oz, how many cars can do with one bottle ?
Answer: I would say this bottle will do several cars. I have put this on my Ram 2500 twice and still have a plenty to use.
